"Music
washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life."
~Berthold
Auerbach
Hi all,
I've
been battling a sinus
infection so not feeling terribly creative. Therefore, I'm
handing this newsletter off to someone else... Enjoy!
God
bless,
Jenni
Hello
everyone,
This is a
last minute thing so I
couldn't decide what to do. Then JenniAnn emailed me these two
things she saw on Facebook (which I don't have) and told me maybe I
could answer them here. Sure? I have a hard time believing
people really care about how I answer these but I'm told they do.
So here goes... Uh, enjoy?
Your friend,
Andrew
The
Music Challenge
The
Challenge:
1. Put your
iPod on shuffle (I
don't have an iPod so I just put all those mixed CDs LJA's given me on
Shuffle)
2. For each
question, press the
next button to get your answer
3. You must
write that song name
down no matter what.
Q: What
would best describe your
personality?
A: Turn!
Turn! Turn!- The Byrds: I can go with that. Maybe it
means
I'm able to help people no matter what's going on?
Q: If
someone says it’s okay you
say…
A: One Song
Glory- Rent Original
Broadway Cast: Uh oh.
That's a very sad song.
Q: What do
you like in a guy/girl?
A: Fools
Rush In- Elvis: ::chuckles::
I like them foolish, I
guess. Or maybe rushing? Believe me, I see a lot of rushing
people in my line of work. But I think humans make foolish
decisions, sometimes, without that meaning they are generally foolish
people. Same with angels. I'm digressing.
Q: How do
you feel today?
A: Lead Me
Father- Johnny Cash: I'm not feeling
forlorn like that song
talks about. Not today. But it is a great song and I do
want to let the Father lead me. Sure, it works.
Q: What is
your life’s purpose?
A: One by
One- Enya: Wow.
That song's about repeated good
byes. That's... wow. I guess in a way my life's purpose is
helping people say good bye. And then hello.
Q: What is
your motto?
A: Have You
Ever Seen the Rain?-
Creedence Clearwater Revival: I'm not
sure what to think about that. It isn't my motto. Good song,
though. CCR brings back a lot of memories for me.
Q: What do
your friends think of
you?
A: Sunrise
in Your Smile- Michael
Card: That's
very nice. But
none of you ever need to wander miles to see my smile and I hope I
don't need to just to see yours. Although that doesn't mean I
wouldn't.
Q: What do
you think of your
friends?
A:
Invincible- Muse: I really love that
answer. This
describes you all perfectly: "There's no one like you in the
universe." I think this describes us, too: "And tonight we can
truly say, together we're invincible." It reminds me of all we've
come through together.
I
keep wanting
to just stop and listen to these songs and then call people and have
them listen, too. 0:-)
Q: What do
you think of your
parents?
A: I Don’t
Know How to Love Him- Jesus
Christ Superstar Motion
Picture Soundtrack: ::laughs
hysterically:: No. That's NOT how I think of the
Father. Thanks for the laugh, Laja. 0;-)
Q: What do
your parents think of
you?
A: Forever
Young- Rod Stewart: That may be my
favorite answer so
far. Thanks, Father.
Q: What do
you think about very
often?
A: Under
Pressure- David Bowie and
Queen: I
hope that's not true.
Maybe it is? I suppose angels do feel a little bit under pressure
to make a difference in our assignments' lives when we only have a
short time. But it's worth it. Believe me.
Q: What do
you think of your best
friend?
A: Roll to
Me- Del Amitri: Not really.
I think this song is
about a guy trying to get a girl to date him after she gets out of a
bad relationship. That doesn't seem appropriate. But I
do like the song. Good tune. And I would hope my
friends would turn to me for help if they needed it. But no
rolling. Thanks. 0;-)
Q: What do
you think of the person
you love?
A: Unsung
Hero- Terri Clark: Any possible
romantic elements aside, I
think this song works for every person I love including the
Father. "No questions asked, you're there when I need you with a
love that inspires me to be everything you deserve" is true.
Q: What is
your life story?
A: Lives in
the Balance- Jackson
Browne: It
was, I guess. I did
spend time in Vietnam and in other wars. And lives are always in
the balance in my line of work.
Q: What do
you want to be when you
grow up?
A: Wherever
You Will Go- The
Calling: I
need to grow up?
0;-) Just kidding. That works. In the future I do
want to still be going wherever
people need me.
Q: What do
you think when you see
the person you love?
A: Sleeping
Bag- ZZ Top: I
do not! But I know why JenniAnn
put that on the CD. Good job, Mr. Dye. You romanticized
bikes forever. 0:-) That *is* the one where he rides the
bike, right?
Q: What is
your hobby/interest?
A: Run
Through the Jungle-
Creedence Clearwater Revival: I don't
know about that one. I have run through my share of jungles but I
wouldn't really call it a hobby or interest.
Q: What
will they play at your
funeral?
A: There
Will Come a Day- Faith
Hill: There
will not come *that*
day. Oops. I just saw Laja's note saying I wasn't supposed
to answer that one. Good song, though.
Q: What is
your biggest secret?
A: From a
Distance- Bette Midler: I guess if I stretch it, it
works. I
usually do have to keep it a secret that I watch over people... until
the Father tells me to tell them who I am and who He is.
That
was
interesting. Let's see what's next... Here we go...

inclined. 0:-)
