"Hail to the Chief"

Hi everyone! Before we get into this I'd like to invite all of you to JABB's new weekly chat at:

(Update: We now longer have a weekly chat but feel free to join the JABB YahooGroup!)

We meet every Friday around 7 PM central time. We've had great fun chatting and especially enjoyed reuniting with some of the old IRC crew (any of you out there we'd love to hear from you again!). If any of you have any questions, let me know. We'd enjoy chatting with all of you.

The past Dye Day instead of the annual chat, I challenged the Yahoogroup to some fanfic, trivia, and other challenges. The one that went over the best was a challenge to write a fanfic in 150 words or less. The two below are examples of what we wrote:

It had been a trying week. It's not as if Andrew wasn't used to the anger people sometimes directed at him. He just never got used to the awful contrast it made with the Father's Home. Nevertheless, he had returned to the Du Bois home. Jordan was in his shop, a few tears slid from his eyes. Andrew drew near to him and involuntarily shivered at the memory of their last encounter. Finally, after only a moment's hesitation Andrew placed his hand on the man's shoulder, whispered "He is at peace," and disappeared.

Jordan never knew why it was that a peace had suddenly washed over him that evening. He liked to think it was an angel.

BUNNY MEETS ANDREW

As I was hopping on my way to the store, I tripped and hit my head on the sidewalk. What seemed like an hour, but was actually only about 5 minutes, I slowly opened my eyes.

Oh no! The 1st thing I see is Andrew! My heart rate went up. Was I dying? I mean it was just a simple bump!

Andrew is leaning over me asking if I am okay. I asked him first if I was dying. He grins and says, "No Bunny. This is not your time. I just happened to be on my way to the restaurant for some real bar-b-que. I saw you fall, wanted to make sure you were okay."

Andrew insists on taking me to eat, once we realize I'm ok. As dinner ends, Andrew says to me, "You are the best Bunny I have ever met!" I thank him and secretly wish that dinner hadn't finished so quickly.

If you'd like to join us at the JABB YahooGroup please email Jenni. The list is devoted to getting to know each other better. While we do several A/J related things, for the most part we just chat about life.

The State of the Androolers Address

May I present to you our esteemed leader, admired angel, and treasured friend... President Andrew!

My fellow Dyelanders, I come bringing good tidings. This is my second address and I thank each of you for your continued support of this government and for me. I doubt if a president anywhere has ever had so much care from his voters. I'd especially like to thank the person who always make sure my leather jacket is well-taken care of, the one who offers to brush my hair (really not necessary but thank you, just the same), and several others.

As for John Dye, this has been another great year as we were once again charmed, this time with "Twice Upon a Christmas." I understand that seeing John in a tux and getting married was quite thrilling for some. I just wish all subsequent marriage proposals to myself would cease (you know who you are). I apologize but I am unable to marry. Moving on...
It is my hope that in the coming year Dyeland will continue to grow and prosper and that the Psych ward of St. Andrew's hospital will be needed less and less... Thank you!

PS JenniAnn does not have a crush on Vincent.

Now for a special preview of next issue...

Imagine, if you will, a crazed woman running in on a reading club.

Troops invading Dyeland...

"An army's coming!"
"I'm so scared!"

Join us in two weeks.... Nothing will ever be the same.

Duh duh duh duh...

(Hey, you can't have a sweeps stunt with out a stupid sweeps commercial, right?)
