Hi all,
So gonna be real with everyone: I can't seem to stop writing the
same story basically over and over. I'm still working on
"The Prodigal" but it's slow going. I vastly
over-estimated my interest in writing about the rehabilitation
of a former racist xenophobe attempted murderer in the time of
47. So when I get upset, I wind up writing a vignette
about Andrew and JenniAnn. And then I feel better for a
little while cause they're my comfort characters, I guess.
But then something else happens and I write another very similar
story. I have no idea how many times this cycle will
repeat over the next 3.5 years but I feel like it could be a
lot. And I've considered just putting those stories into a
folder on my computer, never to be seen again. I may very
well end up doing that. But not quite yet
apparently. Because I didn't end up with much time to
write this newsletter. So I'm going to run the most recent
iteration of "Andrew and JenniAnn Comfort Each Other While Bad
Things Happen." However, it feels like a sad note for the
last newsletter of Pride month. Then again, Pride month
isn't just about having fun. It's about remembering our
history and trying to make a better future and sometimes that's
really sad. So, anyway, for the first time in a long
while, you can choose between two different versions of this
newsletter. Option A is rainbow jigsaw puzzles and some
queer history of the Friends trivia. Option B is a story I
wrote whilst trying to process some violent acts that happened
this month. I'll put a trigger warning at the top of that
link.
Anyway, I hope you're all doing well. Please take care of
yourselves. God loves you!
God bless,
Jenni
