"Find out the
reason that commands you to write; see whether it
has spread its roots into the very depth of your
heart; confess to yourself you would have to die if
you were forbidden to write." ~~Rainer Maria Rilke
Hi all,
So... In a surprising turn of events, three things
happened:
1. I actually wrote two parts of my current trifecta of
stories.
2. Part two... which was supposed to be the
"intermission"... ended up longer than part one.
3. I then realized that, together, parts one and two are
already longer than Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.
Thus, I feel like a break is in order for this newsletter.
But first... time to plug the stories:
Part One: "The
Shepherd"- For the first time since COVID started, St.
Genesius' Community Theatre is producing Jesus Christ
Superstar again. Joshua returns as himself but
assorted life events prompt the Friends to make some casting
changes. Meanwhile, Andrew and JenniAnn continue to deal
with the fall-out of their demonic attack... something that also
haunts Marty. Crowley takes a role in JCS but it may be
more than he can handle. Two Friends struggle to cope with
disappointment. Romance may or may not be brewing between
two others. And two mysterious figures travel almost a
thousand miles to attend opening night.
Part Two: "The
Lost Sheep"- It's 2019... the year before "the plague"...
and the demon Edgar is sent to possess Stephen Thomas, head of a
sober living house. Things do not go as planned...
Or do they?
Part Three aka "The Advocate" will be forthcoming but probably
not until October at the very earliest, more likely
November. It'll pick up where "The Shepherd" leaves off,
incorporating what happens in "The Lost Sheep." I actually
had bits of Parts 1 and 2 pre-written which is why they came
together fairly quickly. However, I have much less
pre-written for "The Advocate." Thematically, it's also
the heaviest of the three stories. So I will definitely be
taking my time with it.
Anyway... Please enjoy the newsletter... the little of it
there is!
God bless,
Jenni
