I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live by the light that I have."

~ Abraham Lincoln

Now...  We turn to Dyeland for some special wishes on Andrew’s 141st anniversary of becoming an AOD (aka Promotion Day):

Dearest Andrew,

Many congratulations on this, the 141st anniversary of your becoming an angel of death.  One hundred forty one years of devoting yourself to helping those most in need at their most difficult times...  It's...  it's just amazing, touching, wonderful.  I cannot express to you how proud I am to know you.  I cannot imagine life with out you and your stunningly golden hair and your eyes... so green I could lose myself in them.  If I could go back in time and meet you in those woods right before you saw Lincoln, when you looked so sad, then I would...

Ahem.  Where was I?  Hmm... I forget.  Well, have a good day!

Yours unrequitedly,
Lady JenniAnn Dwynwen Chandler

Hey Andrew!

Congratulations on your anniversary!  It’s been great having you with us.  You’re always great to work with (even with your pride) and a wonderful band mate.  We hope to count you among our ranks for many more years to come!

Adam & Henry

Dear Angel Boy,

I hope you know how very proud I am of you on this day.  I rejoiced when I heard about your promotion 141 years ago and I have rejoiced every time I have seen you at work since.  You’re an excellent angel of death, Andrew.  I hope you never forget that but remember this even more so: you’re one of the most loving, compassionate souls I know.  You have brought God’s love and your own dedicated spirit to everything you have done since the day you were born.  You’re a joy to me, baby.

Love,
Tess

Dear Andrew,

Congratulations on your promotion.  I got to meet Abraham recently and he told me how great you were.  I know you’ve been a stupendous angel of death since I have known you.  I also wanted to thank you, too, for all you’ve taught me about Ecstasy, death, humans, not kissing people (including you), and so much more.

Your friend,
Gloria

To my dear friend Andrew:

141 years as an angel of death is such an accomplishment!  I wish I had known you for more of those years but I thank God for the last ten.  May your assignments know how blessed they are to be tended to by someone as kind and loving as you.  I hope soon we can meet for a wee spot of coffee to celebrate.

With love,
Monica

To my dearest Andrew...

Congratulations on your 141st anniversary of when you became the Angel of Death, giving the letter A.O.D new meaning to me. Granted I didn't get to know you until later, I am glad I did, for you gave me a new meaning in life. I had something to look forward to everyday, and whenever I saw you, I felt great joy. I will continue to celebrate your promotion in ways of my own...starting with...chicken noodle soup! Yum. And maybe some chocolate. All in honor of you. Yep. And maybe watch some Touched By An Angel. And dance around the room whenever I see you.  Happy 141st Promotion Day! I hope you have a great day. :)
