"The 12 Days of Christmas"

Seasons greetings to everyone! In keeping with our tradition of parodying a holiday classic, with this issue we present a very different sorta 12 days of Christmas… But before that, this is just a reminder that there is still time to send in your favorite December/early January holiday memory or tradition before the 15th. At this point we do ask that you limit your submission to under 100 words so when that issue comes out it’s not in novel form.  If you have questions don’t hesitate to ask. Please send what you have to Jenni or Karen, they will get back to you. Thanks and happy holidays!

The 12 Days of Christmas

The following song contains gifts characters portrayed by John Dye may give. Originally the characters’ names were given but it seemed more fun to let ya’ll guess. Some characters are repeated. This isn’t a contest but we hope you have fun with it nonetheless and feel free to email if you can’t figure a gift out.

On the first day of Christmas,
oh someone sent to me
One loving phrase of comfort.

On the second day of Christmas,
oh someone sent to me
Two Converse shoes,
And one loving phrase of comfort.

On the third day of Christmas,
oh someone sent to me
Three love beads,
Two Converse shoes,
And one loving phrase of comfort.

On the fourth day of Christmas,

Four court summons,
Three love beads,
Two Converse shoes,
And one loving phrase of comfort.

Special thanks to Kristen for pointing out that it goes 3-2-1 and not 3-2-3.  Or as a certain Irish singer might say... "Tres, dos, tres!!"
